The Building of a Park
Building Better Communities through Parks and Recreation
The building of a park is a long story in the history of Palo Cedro. It is a story of vision and hope. Of fun and finances. Of struggle and perseverance. It could not have been done but for the help of a group of unsung heros. People who quietly donated their time and money to see the vision unfold. It is a story that continues today as we endeavor to improve the Palo Cedro Park. Local People have made the park. It’s very existence is a testament to the determination of a group of locals who continue today helping to build a better park for our community. As of 2020, the park is nearing 1,000,000 in revenue and donations over that have continued into a location in our community that is used 365 days per year. The volunteer board of directors ordered the formation of a Board of Trustee whose sole purpose is to help guide, develop, the continuous fundraising that is necessary to sustain the park operations and development plans. The board of Trustees is a group of local residents who meet twice a year to assist the efforts of the Board of Directors. Membership on the Board of Trustees is by invitation only. If you are interested in learning more about this group, please contact Andy Main by sending an email to andy@pcpark.org.
