Letter from the President

Greetings everyone,

As our Board of Directors prepare to welcome in the New Year, our vision remains the same, to enhance the quality of life for the local and surrounding residents of Palo Cedro, by offering the enriched fundamentals of outdoor enjoyment. We have seen great improvements to the Park over the past few years, with many more in store. We continue to stay focused on the construction of our new playground, which will include various play structures and swings, for all to enjoy. We are anticipating a spring time start date for this project and will keep you updated as we move forward.

The year 2015 will also include a continuation of our yearly schedule of events, which will include the “Easter Extravaganza” in April, the “Biathalon” in May, the “Wine and Dine” in March and the “Honey Bee Festival” in September. We will also be exploring the mouthwatering possibility of a Chuck Wagon Cook-Off, which will include an invitation for all Dutch Oven, BBQ and Smoker enthusiasts, to come on out and show us what you got! Updates for this and all other events will be available on our website.

Please keep in mind, that the Board of Directors are always on the lookout for the following: volunteers for park maintenance, projects and events, individuals with both grant writing skills and knowledge of application submittals, energetic people with fresh ideas and knowledge regarding Park fundraisers and the drive to make them happen from start to finish. Last but not least, monetary donations of any kind to keep our Park alive and well. If any of these requests seem like a fit, please contact the park for more information.
In closing, I would like thank everyone who has donated their time and money over the years to make the park what it is today. It wouldn’t have been possible without you, so come on out and have some more fun at the Palo Cedro Community Park. Let’s go make it a great year.

Sincerely,

Ron Marin
President,
Palo Cedro Park Board of Directors
